How Robinback works

Production guide for launching and trading stock-backed tokens on Robinhood Chain — mechanisms, fees, graduation, and the contracts that run it.

Read this before you trade

Robinback is experimental software on a new chain. You can lose money — including your entire position. Nothing here is financial advice.

Market & liquidity risks

  • Bonding curves are thin early. Small buys can move price a lot. Slippage protection helps, but it does not make a trade “safe.”
  • ETH routes can fail. If the Uniswap pool for a stock is empty or out of range, ETH seeds and ETH trades may be disabled or revert. Prefer stock-token buys when in doubt (especially SPY).
  • Graduation is irreversible. LP is permanently locked in the graduator. That protects against LP rug-pulls on the graduated pool, but it does not guarantee price or volume afterward.
  • Oracle dependency. Backing value and USD displays rely on Chainlink-style feeds. Stale or paused feeds can distort progress and pricing displays.

Smart contract & product risks

  • Contracts are complex (curves, routers, V4 hooks). Bugs are possible. Prefer small sizes while you learn the flow.
  • Protocol / creator fee bps are owner-mutable (capped). Holder tax is fixed per launch, but factory parameters can change for future markets.
  • Name/ticker uniqueness is enforced in the app for UX; always verify the token and curve addresses on the explorer if you’re unsure.
  • Flash pays upfront stock from a treasury bank. If that bank is empty, Flash is blocked — it does not mean trading is broken. Locked bags skip holder-tax while locked; quoted APR is a protocol rate, not a guarantee.
  • Indexed charts / 24h change need the price database. If history is missing, change shows as “—” — that is not a zero move.

Not an investment product

Robinhood stock tokens and meme launches are volatile. Past price action on a curve does not predict future returns. Only use funds you can afford to lose.

Practical checklist

  1. Confirm you’re on Robinhood Chain (4663).
  2. Confirm the factory is the address in Contracts.
  3. Read the token’s holder tax and fee labels before buying.
  4. Set slippage consciously — don’t blind-confirm wallet prompts.
  5. For SPY-backed launches, buy with SPY tokens unless ETH seed is explicitly enabled again.
